If the negative items on your credit report are removed, you can easily be on your way to good credit. However, it is not very easy to get them removed. But with a little tact and goodwill, you can do so.

Write a short letter to the creditor and explain that you have made the payment. When the creditor receives your letter, he will respond. If it is possible, he will agree to the removal of the item from your report. He will also agree to get your report updated.
